Small but nice: The Town Hall and Roland, the port and high-tech, coffee and art, Becks beer and the Bremen City Musicians, these are the pride and joy of the 660,000 inhabitants of Germany’s smallest federal state. Bremen is lively and ambitious, modern and industrious, picturesque and magical, open-minded and hospitable, as befits a Hanseatic city. It’s definitely worth a visit.
