Before the beginning of the informal council meeting of Health ministers during the german EU-presidency in Aachen Ulla Schmidt, the german Federal minister of Health, was optimistic about the forthcoming discussions. She declares that there is a high willingness to solve the problems of crossborder healthcare services in favour of the patients.
Moreover she hopes that there will be further progress in tackling AIDS/HIV as it was agreed at the Bremen conference. Besides she expects further steps to improve prevention activities.
