Only a few weeks ago Europe celebrated its 50th birthday. To mark this occasion, the Federal Foreign Office, in cooperation with the embassies of the EU Member States in Berlin, has created a multinational website.
At www.eu50.eu aspiring bakers will find two recipes per Member State.
With the support of the German federal confectioners and bakers associations, the European birthday cakes will be on sale throughout Germany until 25 May 2007. A poster advertising the campaign will be displayed in participating bakeries and cake shops.
