Made mostly of plastic, welded by lasers and offering a 20% drop in operating costs on the competition, the Super-Airbus A380 is set to break the monopoly of the American Boeing 747.
The double-deck passenger jet is produced in 16 different European factories, where more than 55,000 people work to ensure that Europe stays ahead on civil aviation.
