Joint Invitation of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology to the Informal Competitiveness Council from 26 to 28 April 2007

The Council under the Presidency of Federal Minister of Research Dr. Annette Schavan and Federal Minister of Economics Michael Glos will deal with Europe's positioning in the globalisation process and central issues of the European research policy. The Economics Ministers will discuss the future of the internal market including the EU aid scheme in the global competition to attract business. Keynote speakers from industrial firms that operate worldwide will present the advantages and problems of Europe as a business location for their sectors. The debate on a European Institute for Technology and a charter for intellectual property rights, among other topics, are on the agenda of the Research Ministers. Therefore we cordially invite you

from 26 April 2007, beginning 1:00 p.m.,  to 28 April 2007, end 12:00 a.m.,

 in the press centre Gesandtenhaus /Residenzgaststätte

It is not sufficient to hold a permanent accreditation with the Press and Information Office of the Federal Government or on www.eu2007.de, since you will receive a special card to be admitted.
