SCIENCE TUNNEL – CUTTING-EDGE RESEARCH IN EUROPE

Short description

Immerse yourself in the world of cutting-edge research – take a stroll through the Max Planck Society's "Science Tunnel". The multimedia exhibition will be inaugurated in Brussels on March 7, 2007 by EU Research Commissioner Janes Potocnik, Germany's Federal Minister of Education and Research, Dr. Annette Schavan, and the President of the Max Planck Society, Prof. Peter Gruss. The opening ceremony for the event, presented under the motto "Come and Be Amazed!" will take place in the Maison du Bois exhibition hall. For ten days, the people of Brussels will have the chance to take a fascinating voyage through the world of current and future scientific discoveries, and in the process become acquainted with the Max Planck Society. After Brussels, the Science Tunnel will travel on to Johannesburg.

Event information

The presentation in Brussels (March 8 – 18 2007) is being sponsored by the European Commission, Germany's Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and the Max Planck Society; participating partners are BASF AG, TRUMPF Group and the Berthold Leibinger Stiftung.
