The Goethe Institute and its partners invite you to the big festival „The power of language” at the academy of arts located at “Pariser Platz” in Berlin. Fascinating exhibitions, installations and live performances concerning the role and meaning of language in an internationalized world, as well as various exciting top level panel discussions and lectures will be presented for free to a broad public as well as to a professional audience (seats on the academic convention against participation fee).

For two years, the Goethe Institute in cooperation with the Association for the Promotion of Science and Humanities in Germany and many other partners has been focusing on the “power of language” in approximately 30 projects all over the world: Topics like multilingualism and identity, cultural diversity, change in language, academic language and language policy were discussed from different perspectives during symposia and exhibitions, but also at photo, movie and language competitions. The finale of this project will be celebrated during the festival “The power of language”.
