Journalists can be accredited here for events that take place in Germany. This includes informal meetings of the heads of state and government in Berlin, informal ministerial meetings, and selected meetings with third-party countries.
We ask that you apply online for accreditation for these events, doing so not later than seven days prior to the date of the event in question.
You must also register for each event you want to cover. The registration period begins eight weeks before the date of the event. You will be notified of this by e-mail.
You must be accredited to cover these events. On-the-spot accreditation is possible only in exceptional cases and cannot be guaranteed. You would have to reckon with long waits.
Issue of Press Passes: Upon successful completion of online registration you can obtain a six-month pass covering all events taking place in Germany. Passes will be issued
from 2 January 2007
at the Federal Press and Information Office
- Accreditation Office –
Press and Visitor Centre or Bonn Office / Room 1.205
Reichstagufer 14 Welckerstrasse 11
10117 Berlin 53113 Bonn

Accreditation will only be granted on presentation of a valid passport or identity card and a valid official German press card, EU Commission press card, or original letter of assignment from the media organisation you represent.
If you are interested only in certain individual events for which online accreditation has already been obtained, a pass will be issued at the event. The time and place of issue will be notified in the press communications for the individual events.
