A place for poets and inventors, bon vivants and people with business sense: the clichés about the people who live in the south-west of Germany can vary widely. So let’s start with some hard facts: Baden-Württemberg is home to global corporations like Bosch, DaimlerChrysler and SAP – and to many highly specialized small and medium-sized firms.
